Job Description
The Ecologyst Barista is committed to providing exceptional service while living into the values of our organization. Ecologyst Baristas bring fun, respect, authenticity, excitement, passion, and knowledge to what you do every day. You are proactive in your ongoing education regarding the company, reporting, café products, the environment and the world of coffee. You’ll be crafting specialty coffee beverages and food, maintaining the cafe inventory, keeping the space orderly and clean, providing education on our cafe products, maintaining merchandising protocols, and delivering exceptional customer service to our local and international clientele. We’re known for being the best coffee in Whistler for a reason.

Responsibilities for Barista:

  • Prepare and serve coffee/tea drinks and food that meet our quality standards
  • Properly handle, clean and maintain all equipment
  • Respond to multiple orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient
  • manner
  • Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures
  • Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with kindness
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings and café products we offer
  • Observe relevant health and safety standards
  • Contribute ideas of how to improve our offering, and collaborate with teammates
  • Product Education: communicate the features and benefits of our product assortment authentically through storytelling and connection. You treat our customers the same as you would a guest in your home.
  • Culture: You are committed to leaving it better than you found it. You bring fun, respect, authenticity, excitement, passion, and knowledge to what you do every day.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $16.75 to $17.75 + tips at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. Please note that the range reflects the base pay only and does not include tips and additional perquisites that we offer.
